Hi all I'm a newbie here but here goes: I bought a used cutis plow ant hitch supposedly off anothr Chevy silverado 1500 lt.
However, the hitch is slightly different than Curtis has in its manuals,
In addition it seems to be 1" wider than the structural beams on the truck that I'm supposed to bolt into.

Did they have different versions? Did Chevy have different frame styles in 2007?
So, what do I do now? Can I have it cut an welded an inch narrower, or will that weaken the mounting too much? Or should I just say heck and buy a mount that fits.
I just hate to spend another 500 on this plug and play ( supposedly) plow.

    thanks Rubicon,
actually I just posted a new thread "can anyone help me identify this frame"
with a photo attached. I thought I might have misposted this in the wrong forum. guess not.
So the question now becomes, what is going to fit?
the distance between body frame members on the truck is 36"
