What is the proper procedure for setting the Cross Over valve? Is the release pressure greater with the adjusting nut screwed in or screwed out? Is there a way to set it without a pressure guage? I'd rather have it set at too low a pressure versus too high a pressure. Need to quit replacing "C" valves.

    Thanks,
    Bill

The cross over can't be correctly set (or shouldn't be) without a pressure gage on it.

Turning the adj screw in (clockwise) raises the relief setting. Out (counter clockwise) lowers it.
