The chute on my snowblower is supposed to turn 180 degrees. However, it doesn't lock into position when I try to throw snow all the way to the right. It "wanders" back to the left as I walk with the machine. I have to hold the chute with one hand and control the machine with the other.

The left works fine, not a problem.

Any help would be appreciated on how to fix this problem.

    snow blower

A very small wieght tied( large heavy washers) tied to the directional control handle will stop it from moving.

That sounds like a good temporary fix. Thanks.

    Any more permanent options?
