noticed my front left rim was cracked and missing a chunck at the bead. I never hit anything. I noticed when my drying towel snagged on the jagged end. The tire still holds air but I will be replacing them this fall. Any advice?

Change the rim for safety. If you get pulled over it's a $4000 fine in my state for cracked rim. It could have been a bad casting to start or you just hit something and never noticed it.

In all SERIOUSNESS you may have hit something under a pile of snow somewhere and not knowing what was under neath such as a Broken parking block with the REBAR STICKING UP OUT OFTHEPARKING BLOCK

False alarm...it was just the plastic "Chrome" skin on my steel wheels. Darn...I found some nice take-off 20's I wanted to get.
