    First post here.
Setting up a Speedcast model G on my 1985 Jeep CJ7.
Belt that came with it is a Gates 7516.
It is correct length, but it is not sitting flush with top of hydraulic pump and crankshaft pulleys. The belt sinks approx. 1/3 down in the sheaves, this does not look normal. Anyone know of the correct belt size, or at the very least - belt width group size?
    Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't worry about that. Just keep a backup with you. The belts are measured by the inside dimension. Take that part number so you get the same length, and get a wider belt from your local NAPA or wherever you like to go. Most likely you have a 7/16" wide belt which again, would be fine. But you could jump up to a 1/2" wide belt. Either way just keep a spare so you don't need to worry.
