controversy on salt prices

    i get salt for $3.00 per 50 lb bag on a pallet. what should i be charging for the salt and putting it down total per bag? im sure this has been asked but i am looking at price per bag to apply. thanks in advance

    dang....$3.00/50lb I wish it was that cheap here. I'd say $5-$6 per bag plus hrly time to spread if your spreading alot/big areas, if your talking driveways/walkways I'd charge $10/bag for spreading plus 5-6 salt cost. But thats me, where I live.

    I as well as some others on here charge 3x for a bag of salt spread. So if your paying $3.00 per bag, spread it for $9.00. That is what I do. I think my rates for what I am paying put me at around $.30/lb. But I do not have near the salt experience some of these guys do.
