commercial Sidewalks

    With commercial contracts do most opeators charge seperate for sidewalks or inclued the walks in their plow price. I am restructuring my bids for 03-04, Thanks..Dave

    We price sidewalks separately. If the same guy plowing will clear the walks, keep in mind they will be holding their big money maker (truck) up in the mean time if they shovel, so the hourly rate you charge should be a premium.

    I have heard of rates as low as $40 per man hour or as high as $100 per man hour for sidewalk work. Those rates were for shoveling and ATV plowing, respectively. A snowblower would probably fit in at $50-$60 per hour in the above pricing scheme.
