    how much snow u expecting??
Here in Minneapolis they are saying 60% of snow on tuesday-ish, and a potential "spring snow storm" next friday and saturday. The company that I work for already put their plows up on the shelves.... my personal ones not put away yet tho... :)

Here's a c&p from WGN weather blog of some wacky April weather in the Chicago area.

2 April 1975, Chicago, Illinois: O'Hare Airport is closed as 10.9 inches (27.7 cm) of snow buries the Windy City. The storm is the city's biggest snowstorm so late in season, dumping as much as 20 inches (51 cm) across northeastern Illinois.

    from elsewhere:
Chicago had a 5 day snow event in 1910 from the 22 to 26th that produced a total of 6.5 inches.

    another from elsewhere:

Chicago's largest two-day temperature change in April: Spring temperatures can change on a dime, but the largest two-day April temperature change is 56 degrees, from 29 (April 9, 1977) to 85 on the 10th.
(that one is to show it can go away as quick as it came.

(sorry I didn't source these properly)

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN... SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

AN APPROACHING LATE SEASON STORM SYSTEM WILL BRING A MIX OF RAIN AND
SNOW TO THE AREA TUESDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY. THE EXACT TRACK OF THIS
STORM REMAINS UNCERTAIN. ALL INTERESTS SHOULD MONITOR LATER
FORECASTS FOR UPDATES AS THIS STORM HAS THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE
    HEAVY SNOW wesport

This is what they are saying up this way.

TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY - NOT A WHOLE LOT OF CHANGES BETWEEN 00Z AND
12Z RUNS OF THE ECMWF...GFS...AND GFS ENSEMBLES FOR THE GENERAL
TIMING AND TRACK OF THE DEEP LOW TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY.
FAVORABLE LOW TRACK FROM ROUGHLY NORTHERN MISSOURI THROUGH CENTRAL
ILLINOIS INTO NORTHERN INDIANA AND THEN EITHER SOUTHERN LOWER
MICHIGAN OR NORTHWEST OHIO. 850 TEMPS ON GFS DON`T GO WARMER THAN
ABOUT -3C DURING THE EVENT IN THE MADISON AREA...SUGGESTING ALL
SNOW. CONSERVATIVE SNOW AMOUNTS USING 8 TO 1 RATIO SUGGEST 5 TO 9
    INCHES...THOUGH A 12 TO 1 RATION WOULD INDICATE POTENTIAL FOR A
    FOOT.

CERTAINLY WILL HAVE TO WATCH THIS CLOSELY. THE TASTE OF RECORD
WARMTH IN LATE MARCH WITH UPPER 70S IS SUCH A DISTANT MEMORY NOW.

Its not dead enough for me!!! I want this **** to go north, dont get me wrong I love plowing, but I was ready to start spring clean-ups this week!!!!

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MILWAUKEE/SULLIVAN HAS ISSUED A
WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY NIGHT THROUGH
    WEDNESDAY.

SNOW OR A COLD RAIN IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP OVER SOUTHWEST
WISCONSIN TUESDAY AFTERNOON BEFORE SPREADING ACROSS SOUTHERN
WISCONSIN TUESDAY NIGHT. THE PRECIPITATION WILL THEN LAST WELL
    INTO WEDNESDAY.

CURRENT INDICATIONS ARE THAT MAINLY SNOW WILL FALL NORTH OF A LINE
FROM LONE ROCK TO WATERTOWN TO GERMANTOWN...WITH 6 TO 8 INCHES OF
    WET SNOW LIKELY.
