What is the stock tow rating for a 1987 1/2 ton Suburban with a 350 and auto trans with OverDrive?
We currently pull about 1 ton gross weight several times a week, I was just wondering what it can do.

It should tell you in the glove box, or on the inside of the driver's side door jam. 2000 pounds isn't a problem I'm sure.

If you have 3.08 gears, the 350/auto has a 10000 lbs GCWR,so subtract the truck weight, from that, and thats its factory rating. If you have 3.42's its 11000,3.37's and its 12000.
