Maybe some one knows this? My 2000 Chevy Malibu-67K has started to have a lot more effort to steer at low speeds. No pump noise like it's against a stop etc just more effort to steer at low speeds. New belt and just had the sub frame replaced. In my travels on the Internet I found a site that stated power steering systems may needed flushed and refilled. It stated that some valve sticks on the system. My repair manual is mum on the subject. Anybody ever hear of this? I have never ran into a problem like this. Most times when the pump is bad it sounds like there are stones in the pump or no steering boost at all.
