At 24,000 miles I got a chattering noise with some jumping when backing down a ramp. The dealership said Ford knew about the problem and recommended silicone. They "fixed" it but at 50,000 miles the problem is back and they say I need clutches in the rear end, but because it's out of warrannty they won't fix it. Has anybody else had this problem and did Ford "fix" the problem until it was out of warranty?

Your rear end might need limited slip additive , you can get that at the Ford dealer . They will make a chirping sound if they need it, I would try that before I put in any new clutches in it .
