Changing fluid

    How do you go about changing fluid? Do you just drain it, or do you worry about getting it out of the hoses too? How much generally does a unit take? :redbounce

    i was told that my hiniker takes about 3 quarts

    Take the hoses of the angle cylinders and angle the plow by hand to evacuate any fluid left in the pump. In the Western manual they give specific instructions on the amount of fluid. I think the ultra are 2 3/4 quarts and the standard pumps are 2 1/2. Look in the manual under hydraulics. Hope this helps.
