Wire rope actually. Has anyone had to do this before? I've done one on a truck and have three left. I think it's one of those things that you do and you have to figure out whats the best way. I hitched a piece of rope to the end of the old cable and pulled it through. Measured the length of the cable and then had a new one made and pulled it through with the rope. Good idea to have a second set of hands. This was on a Frink unit.
