Can I plow with the center skid shoe removed with the old style cutting edge or will this wear the rubber puck down faster? I currently run without the outer shoes and noticed the tips of the cutting edges are wearing faster than the center, thought maybe the center skid shoe affected cutting edge wear.

We have never ran any shoes on our blades but I know alot of guys that leave the centre shoe on. I actually just sold a 10 year old Boss V and it never had shoes on it.

Take it off but keep it in the truck because if you lose the puck you can throw the shoe on again.
