Cat 226 B

Discussion in 'Heavy Equipment' started by ProWorkz.com, May 4, 2005.

  1. My 226B has 217 hours on it. Two days ago it was acting like the fuel filter was dirty. Lack of power and had a hard time starting after I ran it for a few hours. Today I installed a new fuel filter. Now it will not start.... I Checked fuses. Primed fuel filter. Just turns over with no attempt to start...

My Cat is still under warranty so I am not too worried. Just thought you guys might have an idea of something I can check..... Thanks..

could you have got some bad fuel?
  3. It seems as though the fuel transfer pump has gone bad. I disconnected the fuel line coming from the pump and no fuel flows when engine is turned over. CAT mechanic is coming out tomorrow... Gota love those warrantys  ....
