    hi was was in the market to buy a cargo van for my summer job/company how long do the van's last as milage goes i was looking into the 1996-2002 ford e 150-e350's witch would you recomend and how about the gmc savana's?

    how long do the 5.4 engine's last and what should i be looking out for?

    They do last almost lot miles.

    If those drivers who try abuse and REV to 6,000 rpm. You would get about 100,000- 200,000 before it blew up engine.

    If you drive like normal not rev or try race it would last 300,000-1,114,400 miles


    Make sure they use 5w20 or 5w30 oil in engine if they say they use 10w30 or higher? RUN AWAY FROM THEM. Why those engine not suppose to use thick oil due tight clearance bearing in DOHC. Make sure it have motorcraft oil filter if not that mean it will destroy engine.
