cargo light switch??? 95 k2500

    Ok, I had the idea of hooking up some auxiliary backup lights through a relay using the cargo lamp switch, but the thing only turns the cargo lamp on while the door is open! Is this normal?

    changed the plan and mounted a switch in one of the empty bays on the dash.

    Sometimes they get so close, then blow it. Frustrating

    It's done that way so you can't drive down the road with it on...:rolleyes: Most people (excluding GV of course) don't drive with the door open.
