can't get quill screw to turn, any suggestion's

    I tried to turn the quiil screw but to no prevail. I don't wanna break it off. Scared to heat the top of the pump. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    spray with wd-40 and let set 1 hour. gently tap with a hammer. try again.

    put a little heat on the casing next to the quill..Then turn it out slowly(blade down and count how many turns )..Clean the threads on the quill screw, and put it back in (amount of turns it took to come out, same amount of turns to put back in), then adjust.. I use a rust buster and it did not work..I had to use a little heat..
