Well its almost time for a new cutting edge and I am going to install my curb guards again but I would also like to put plow guards on the middle of the cutting edge. My question is can I cut off the piece I circled in the picture for a flush mount of the plow guard? The second picture is what I would like to put in the middle.

Note: The cutting edge in the picture is from the beginning of the season, it is worn now with only a few hours left on it.

I can't see why that wouldn't work-it looks like those are there to add stiffness to the cutting edge, which you will do with the add on pieces. Out of curiosity, why do you want the plow guards on there? Curb guards I can understand.

Anybody else think of Lorena Bobbitt when they read this thread title?

When I do a lot of scooping my middle wears more than the outers even with the T-frame adjusted correctly. I understand what you are saying that the plow guard will add support to what I would be cutting off.

    Who is Lorena Bobbitt?
