Going to be putting my Boss V blade on my 05 2500HD in the next weeks to come and wanted to see some pictures of how you guys cut your lower bumper plastics, if at all, to accomodate the plow mounts.

    Thanks.

I will try to get some pics but I did not need to cut mine at all.

On the Chevy classic body you don't need to cut the valance at all if the truck is leveled up some first. You simply flex the valance up sightly with the mount. Here's an example:

Mount to valance clearance won't be an issue if the truck is lifted anywhere over the stock height.

I just pushed it up on my '05. When I sold the truck, I wanted to put it on my '08 and I had no damage to it. On my '01, I had to replace the entire valance.

Actually is was an install from last year. The guy dropped the truck for a whole week for the install as he is an over the road truck driver. I took that pic and sent it to him via email so he could see how high/low the mount hung as he was very concerned with the look of the mount.

His trucks are always showroom clean.....although so are mine.
