How much calcium chloride would it take to cover roughly 15000 sq ft of sidewalks? Thanks for the help.

210 lbs sound right on a light application? I hate the way the bags calculate the application rate. 1/4 cup or something another. I have a large bid and need to get it turned in. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Most bags i've seen state 2 to 4 ounces per square yard or 14 to 27 lbs per 1000 square feet. Sounds a bit much to me. 300 lbs on 15000 square feet comes out to 20 lbs per square feet. I don't use that much salt on asphalt lol.

Think your math is off. 300 lbs on 15000 sf is .02 lbs per square foot. ;)

You are right. I meant per 1000 square feet.

Then don't use that number. You asked, I answered. That's the number I would use for bidding purposes. If I didn't apply that much, then all the better.
