breather valve shot clean off

Discussion in 'Fisher Engineering Discussion' started by stevejfromRI, Dec 7, 2011.

  1. I was putting the cable locks on the plows, bumped the breather valve on one of my pumps and shot the top of the breather 6 ft in the air. Scared the s#@* out of me, but i was able to find the cap, spring and a little black piece to put back in the the spot.

Problem is i dont know if its right... been looking online to find an exploded view and havent seen one

Its a 9'HD MM2 "2004" if that matters and its the grey plastic breather not the metal one.

Its probably a 10 dollar part and i should just replace it, but figured i'd ask for the future.

The cap was doing what it is designed to do. Just get a new one to be sure it's working properly. That breather keeps moisture out of your system.
