I have a 2003 Silverado and am having trouble with the passenger side brake light. Sometimes the brake light doesn't work(the tail light still works however). The bulb is good. If I take the bulb out and reinsert it the brake light usually works for a few days before it quits working again. I am thinking its a short but I don't know how to find it. I checked voltage in the socket and it is good. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this? Thanks.

Maybe the socket? Try and pry the tabs out alittle inside

If it is the Bulb or Socket...Make sure you use some Die-Electric grease when you insert the bulb..
It will save you grief later..
