How do you know when the brake booster is going on a 2000 f-350 diesel? My pedal is acting wierd, sometimes feels like no matter how hard you push on the pedal the truck wont stop, the pedal goes down but is rock hard and does nothing? Other times it seems real sensitive and drops real fast but is touchie and locks up the brakes. When i push on the pedal hard to the floor and hold it there i hear air leaking out from somewhere. Please any help would be greatful

Any suggestions on fixing it other than tightening it? Thanks!

If it's the PowerStroke your vacuum pump may of died. They die all the time, check all the connections and hoses, but it's never that easy.
