Has anyone used a box plow on a F450/550 or even on a Chevy3500Hd Dodge?
For some reason I think these plows would to heavy for these trucks. I've seen them on loaders and farm tractors.

However, they do advertise them on the fords and chevy's. Any opinion?

It's been discussed here before, do a search for the topic. I've never used the setup, but I think the issue becomes the lack of turning ability once you have a load in front of the box type plow.
There is a guy who runs a Fisher 9' on the front of a Mitsu cabover with the side plates on it, which acts as a containment box/plow. They do a shopping center. He does small, short, straight runs, while the loader gets the brunt of the work.
