Ahhhh, the actuator motor quit so the salter won't go up or down to mount it, the unit is 18 days outta warranty and my dealer said BOSS will not cover it. They want $ 350.00 for the motor that runs the actuator. :realmad:

Eyesell - I shipped my motor back a few days ago, we'll see if they warranty it. If you still have your motor in hand, have you tried an electric motor place to see if is a possible rebuild?? Mine, the windings looked fine, but the brushes and lower plate were really coroaded. If Boss doesn't fix it and I can somehow get the thing on my truck, I'm gonna try the rebuild route......

I'm gonna try today to get it on the truck, hopefully.

18 days out of warranty? Tell the dealer he'll figure out a way to get it covered or you'll have a new dealer within 18 hours.

I'd be calling a different dealer for sure......ultimately the warranty claims are up to Boss to decide but the dealers have a fair amount of influence on the matter too...
