The ole boss rt2 V blade finally gave in and is giving me some issues... It started picking up slower and slower then eventually it would hardly go up at all also both wings hardly move either now... everything seems to be getting power still. Could the pump be getting a little worn out or is it possible my fluid could be contaminated? Any info would greatly be appreciated!

Standard issue checks for any plow that's gotten noticeably slower.

    1) Fluid level and condition is one of the very basics. When was it last changed? When were the screens and reservoir last serviced? If it's been a while then it's probably overdue.

    2) Poor power/ground cable connections (including the motor relay) due to loose connections and/or corrosion.

    3) Worn motor causing excessive amperage draw thus pull more current than the truck can handle. A periodic amp draw test is a wise preventative measure to check the motor's overall heath and status.

    4) Weak battery. Age? Has it been checked lately? If not it may be time.

Lastly and not usually the case when all functions are slow; but should be checked periodically as a PM is pump pressure output. If it won't develop a minimum of 2300 PSI and all other items on the list are in check, then it's worn or there's an issue with the relief valve. But again that's generally not the case when ALL functions are slow.
