Has anyone tried using GE Silverstars in their Boss RT3 mount headlights ?

The original part number from Boss is MSC04742 , but I am unable to cross-reference it to anyone elses number.

I guess I could just take the light out and try to match it by eye, but many lights are similar to another.

    Thanks in advance,

    Scott

You might try calling your boss dealer and he'll be able to help you out on where to get one and what replacements will work for those lights. He also might have some in stock for you too. Hope this helps.

Found the light, just a standard 9006 halogen.

Bought the silver stars, will see if there is a diference tonight.

Let us know, I've thought about picking up a set myself. I've never used Silver Stars myself, but have heard nothing but good about them. Are they that much better?

I would just be worried about vibrations, but I have been thinking of the silverstar swap for the boss. I run silverstar in all my trucks.

Yep a bit brighter with a whiter light.
Got to aim them a bit better though.

Will see how they do in the snow tonight
