I have a Boss 9.2 V-Plow and I'm going to change the fluid.I know that you can run Dextron in a Western plow but can you use it in a Boss ? Or do I have to use Boss fluid only ?

I was told by my boss deealer that the consistency of transmission fluid is a bit thick and at lower temp's the fluid slows the plows the operation. I would stick with some sort of hydro plow fluid.

I gotta agree, when I worked for someone else we used dextron and boy when it was cold the plow would strain quite a bit, not to mention the lights would dim. The boss fluid is not that and runs much better in cold weather.

Anyway If you still want to use tranny fluid I was told any type but type "F"
