im looking at either a boss poly v or a blizzard 810 or sw860 to go on my 04 dodge 1ton s.r.w. quad cab short box with the cummins. want to know if blizzards hydralics are as fast as boss and can it stack snow as high. thanks.

The Boss plows are a little faster, but I think its because Blizzard is using larger diameter hyd cylinders. And a V plow will stack higher than a straight blade.

    MattL,

I just purchased a new 860SW last month, and we just got dumped with 10" overnight. I too had reservations on how high the 860 would stack snow..... believe me, I was able to pile the snow as high as the cab of my 3/4 ton GMC. That is almost 7' high. The trick is to start raising the plow just before the pile and the moldbord will push the snow right up the pilewesport If your customers need it piled higher than that..... you need a bigger piece of equipment:nod: (note added income)
PS the hydraulics are fast enough stock.

Search my posts, I unbiased. Right SF?

Seriously, a few years ago I pushed Blizzards too much. They're not for everybody, but will work best for most. I also have had about 30 seasons on my Boss plows, so I can speak with experience about both brands.
