Hi everyone and yes, I'm a first time poster. I purchased my 7 1/2 Pro Plus new in 2010 and it's stored indoors until needed. I plow my office lot and my driveway, not large areas, but enough that a plow is needed. The blade will not stay in the "up" position. It does not drop at a rapid pace, but I do need to use the hand control while driving to lift the blade back in the "up" position. I searched the internet and came up with a goose egg.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Thank you for any help.

When was the last time the plow was serviced?
Could be something hold the valve open.

I believe two years ago. I did not need it last year and it is stored indoors. The hoses are not cracked nor are they leaking.

The hoses, and internals can deteriorate on the inside. Storing inside helps, but you can still get contamination in the system.

I'd pull all the valves first, paying close attention to s3. That would be the easiest starting point.

    Yeah, what dieselss said.

You may need just a good flush and cleaning of the system. If S3 is plugged, could have other particulates in there.

Ram seal could be leaking too

Op wrote no leaks (hoses, but I infer none).

Anytime I have this issue, I pop one of those blue pills in and it's good to go for at least 4 hours of staying up.

Well. most of the time, anyway....;)

If it's not leaking fluid anywhere externally, then it needs an S1 cartridge... Period.
