I have a new to me 03 chevy extended cab sb d-max. What would the best size plow for that truck be 8.2 or 9.2 thanks

Assuming its a 1500 probably should go with an 8.2 for weight reasons depending on what you plow.

They don't put turbo diesels in 1500's yet. The 8-2 might cover your WB

I'm assuming its a 3/4 ton. I'd go 8'2", if you feel the need to go wider get wings

Weather you go with an 8'2 or 9'2, the wings are a must have, a plow is never big enough I find.

The 9' is going to weigh 70lbs. more. I'm guessing you are going to be overweight regardless of which one you pick. I would take the 8' with wings.

thanks all for the help going with 8.2 with wings. I would go with a 9.2 but our D.V.M can be hard to deal with.

After seeing the pic.. My buddy has a 9'2" on his and it plows very well... thats weird how DMV would bother you over a 9'2"

They B*&@H about the 10 footers here though

It puts the front-end overweight and that's what they get us on

Puts the FGAWR over or are you over the tire rating too?

puts us over on FGAWR but just had it out with DMV the other day. Put my truck on the scales and I was all legal with the boss 8.2 so I'm good to go.

The 8.2VXTs work and the 9.2 Power Vs worked, but the 9.2VXTs are too much, according to Boss.
