Balk salt in a boss spreader

    I'm looking a using balk salt in a new Boss TGS 1100 tailgate spreader. Has anyone tried this and does it work ok??? Pros / Cons????

    Bulk salt doesn't work in tailgate salters without adding a vibrator to them. Bulk salt is too sticky and will leave a crater threw the center of your loaded salt

    Thank you. I was looking at putting a vibrator kit on the spreader. I can get bulk salt alot cheaper and hoping it would work.

    just make sure it is dry

    w/o the vib. the salt binds together and will not flow correct.

    So i'm taking it that a vibrator is a must.

    I have never used a Vib on my Western and it works fine with dry material....the vib would help alot if the material you are gonna use may be wet or clumpy
