I'm posting this for a friend. He has a 1998 Dodge 1500 4x4. His backup lights quit working. He replaced some switch on the tranny and they worked for awhile and now they don't work again. He has checked the fuse and its still good. The fuse was blown at one point.

Both of us do not know how this system works on this truck. Does anyone know what the problem could be or where he can look to figure this out. He doesn't think there is any kind of switch on or in the steering column and that the switch on the tranny turns the backup lights on. Thanks for any ideas.
