axle

    i put in a limited-slip and i need to take it back out i got the left axle out but the right one will not push in far enough for me to get out that c-clip does anyone have any suggestions? i have removed these axles before but not with a posi rear end

    I have the instructions here in a service manual but they are a bit complex. How did you get it in and not be able to reverse process? It is a LOT easier with full floating rear axle.

    well when i took it out of a blazer i was in a hurry b/c the junkyard was gonna close so i was just yankin on it and i eventually got it out but i dont fell like yamkin on it.

    In a nutshell you have to back cross shaft oput of diff (not completely though) to expose the thrust block in center of diff (with positraction diffs) and align thrust block and C clip properly so you can push axle in a bit and remove C clip to remove axle.
