Well, during my last oil change, I discovered my driver's side axle seal (where the inside of the CV attaches to the diff output I believe?) is damp/seeping.

How hard are they to change? I heard that the driver side is easier than the passenger side...any truth to that? Is it just loosen the bolts, and move it out of the way?

It seemed easy on GM Service Information, but I could be wrong.

I'm pretty sure the drivers side is the most difficult. Never done one, but someone with more experience will chime in. There's a thread or two here I think that details the procedure. You might be able to find it if you search.
