arctic poly

    hey gang ,need help,have a 1990 sierra,1/2 ton,1500 seires,3350 lbs.front axle,looking at a poly 7.6 arctic.weight is about 650- 700 lbs.dealer says i can put a 7.6 standard on,will i be able to put this poly on.let me know.

    IMO. a 700 lb. plow on half ton is to heavy. Recommend 550 lb. range for 1/2 tons. Saves the front end.

    apalero where is this dealer located? I have a couple of guys running 1/2 tons with 8' poly Arctics. One even has the diesel. The 7 1/2 poly should be fine. When you get a bigger truck and want to take the standard plow to the new truck it may be to small and then you are going to have to start over looking for another new one.
