Right now I have protech and avalanche box plows hooked up to my tractors. just curious to see if anyone has a arctic sectional. Does it need any downward force or can it just be pushed and the weight keeps it on the ground?

we run arctic 10 footers and we love them. unlike the pushers you mention while down on pavement their is no weight on the front of the machine. It is amazing the amount of added traction you will see and you will never go back. they are rather pricey, but they are fast and scrape to the bare pavement saving me tons of salt every storm.
