    any pictures?

The 2yard salt dog in our long bed f350 has a lot of room in front of it and said it was 96" long.

Its only 10" longer to go to their shpe4000 4 yard spreader that would weigh in at about 6600lbs filled with course salt. I know the truck would hold it no problem.

A yard of salt weighs 1 ton. So if your putting it in a 1 ton truck you are going to be way way over weight. Those spreader are wrong on the weight of salt.

I can tell you this--I personally ran a new F550 for a friend last year with a SnowEx V-9500 (4 yard) v-box, and when loaded heaped that truck was *well* aware of that spreader--slightly exacerbated because the bed was too long, and thus the spreader was too far back (not my truck).

Unless you have some seriously upgraded springs, that 350 will not like a 4 yard spreader....at all.

You are going to be waaaaaaaaay overloaded on the rear axle.

    And not have any steering.

    And totally illegal.

Can you get a good deal on one from Northern Tools?

Four yards spreader seems a bit much for a tonner. Especially since you'll put five yards of fine wet salt in it for about 10,000 lbs, plus the spreader, plus the truck, of course.........

Put the 4 yard in your 350 and save the 2 yard for either of your F150's.

And be sure to keep the camera rolling.....

Thinking about picking up a 2wd Datsun for sand runs only. Probably one of those Polycaster jobs should be fine then?
