I have a star strobe light. Its on its second season and crapped out on me. Heres the problem, when i plug it in the cigarette lighter, it does not light up, but instead heats up. What do you think is causing this to happen? The model number is 255tsm if that helps with anything. Any input appreciated.

The board it self inside the light. This is a strobe beacon not a bar just to clarify.

Honestly... Sounds like the board under the bulb is burned out. (strobe module board)
It would probably be cheaper to just get a new light in whole. I googled the part number and it's in the $45 range.
