Anyone use them firsthand with push boxes that has any insight on running them in drive or 1st or 2nd, using brakes, difflocks ? How much fuel do your machines use on average per hour with a 4.5L , 6.8L or 9.0L engine? Some of our skid steers could use a few gallons an hour so i'd hope not running wide open 100% of the time they won't use more than that or less.

We ran a few 544k's last year. We used a 12 and 14' pushers on it. They are great machines. Most guys plowed in 3rd gear for large lots(light snow 4th) and smaller lots 2nd. Brakes where rarely used inlots do the the rapid deceleration with a load of snow in front. Ours came with All wheel drive no locking diffs.
I know we could go an average of 29 straight hours between fill ups. About 3GPH. These machines where run hard. Down side cup holder is to close to some switches. If you have a lazy operator they will spill there coffee or soda on it..

    Hope this helps
