I was looking at an 8' harper stainless steel electric 1.3yd?? spreader but never heard of Harper. Has anyone heard of it and are they still in business. I don't want to buy it if I can't get parts anymore.

I think you may mean HARDER

I know they make a SS electric spreader

I did a web search and couldn't find anything close to harper.

Sorry, but my advice would be to steer clear unless you can absolutely identify the manufacturer and locate a shop that works on them and can get parts.

Does it have a belt rather than a drag chain? If so that spreader is from HARDER, they have since been bought by Smith industries.

They still make the unit, and easy to get parts for.
