I did not get that one but I was talking with a national last week about some 4-6 acre lots, they told me what they were plowing them for, not including shoving or salt. Let's just say I wod rather plow 35 or 40 residentials. I would be much further ahead.

Thats how they came up with "Canada" when they pulled letters out of a touqe....C eh N eh D eh!! Laughed my @&& off when we were in Ontario where we race sleds on ice and the "locals" told us that one....took me a minute to get it....been into the Export at the time!!! I'm a 2nd generation transplant from there and really like the people and places we go.

I heard it explained just a little differently :

The original name for Canada, dreamed up by a parliamentary committee in London, was "Cold North Dominion," but that was too long, so they abbreviated it C.N.D. The King's Royal Governor presented the new name to the inhabitants, and they didn't say a word. Just looked at him.

"Well, what do you think?" asked the Royal Governor?

"C., eh?" said the first fellow, and just looked at the Governor.

"N., eh?" says the second guy.

"D., eh?" says a third one. Then silence.

"Hey," says the Governor. "I like that. It's a helluva lot easier to pronounce when you spell it that way."

So that's how Canada got its name.:salute:tymusic

For anyone who spends anytime over on LawnSite, it sounds like "GravelRat" or whatever his name is, doesn't it? Guy always has some misspelled rant about contract prices being low.

    But no, I haven't got that e-mail.

At least it's well-written and clearly communicates the message!
