I have two old style Fisher Speedcaster plows, a 7.5' on a '79 Ford F150, and an 8' on a 77 Dodge W200. The 8 footer will angle itself back very easily if you catch one end of the blade, or even push very hard on it. The 7.5 hardly ever does this, even if you slam one end of the blade accidentally. I realize that the 8 footer has more leverage against the angle cylinders and more weight behind it, but I still think it should be somewhat stiffer. Is there an adjustment on the crossover relief valve, and if so, how do you adjust it?
