We have two dump trucks with v-box spreaders. The license plates are located just under the tailgate on the left side. Both trucks have gone through a license plate in the first half of the season due to corrosion from the salt.

So, I sprayed both plates, front and back with fluid film and reinstalled them. So far no signs of corrosion.

This will now be another step in getting my winter stuff ready for the season.

It should be no surprise to you that Illinois had problems with some of their plates rusting out too, only difference is they are made by ex-politicians.
