    Hey Guys,

    Here's the deal!

I'm trying to direct fit a higher AMP alt. on my truck and have had NO luck thus far!

Is there a direct fit Alt that will bolt up to the following vehicle?

    1995 GMC 2500 HD (8600GVW)
    5.7 with AC
Came standard with 100 AMP Alt.

Running Western Uni Mount with 7'6" straight plow.

Will be running dual Batts. also.

Try Napa. They should have a 155 amp alt for you. Make sure you get the HO charging kit too.

got rid of the cs-130 that come on mine at 105 amp.

went here and got a cs-144 bigger 200 amp direct plug in and bolt on.

simple swap as if it had been there all along. loveing the unit till this day.

i have a all light federal signal light bar. draws around 60-65 amps all light up. plus all the truck stuff on . no problems so far. the old 105 amp unit would start loosing the charging battle on the 1000ca battery in less than 20 min.

i run a old live hydro fisher plow so plow lights only.

give them a look and see what you like. used the same belt also. big bonus as no custom belt.

summitracing has a buttload of them listed for that truck. And they are all direct bolt in. The powermaster alternators are good quality too

i'm running a powermaster 160 amp , it was a good investment, the best thing is, that they charge at 14 volt even at idle, with lights & everything on

CS-130 or CS-133d ( the alt guy told me the "D" is a better case to rebuild for higher amp output) .. i think look at my pics i just picked this up from a alt shop it was a rebuild and the kid never came back for it so i picked it up for 175, and the guy bench tested in front of me and WOW it was punching out over 230 amps at a higher RPM.. works great in my rig , and I have a shitload of electrical components.

there are a few sites that explain the various Chevy alt cases and what they fit.. I had so many mixed reviews , i did my home work and proved them all wrong! direct bolt on , and my custom mount wokz awesome, no more pry bar to the alt to get the belt tight.
