In my head. Picked up a new account so I've been plowing in my head trying to figure out which way is best. Good thing it's a seasonal account because I'd have to charge them!:D

I would push it ----> that way.
May be better if you pushed it <---- that way.
Which ever way you chose remember to always plow out.

I am 1/3 of your total in on real plow events already. It just snowed for 3 days straight here.

The thought of having 12 pushes in at this point makes me giddy. I've got myself and two other guys on with me this year in my equipment and I'm billing out about $3600 per 1-4 with an additional 70% per four inch increase. My overhead on a four incher is roughly 750 between salt, gas, payroll and insurances.

Agreed, although between October and now we have 3-4 plows in so far.

I had a nightmare the other night. I was dreaming that i woke up to a foot of snow and everyone else's lots were plowed and I still didn't have my plow hooked up yet. The sad thing is this could happen any day if i didn't check the wheather everyday twice.

What about the equipment you need to do the work? Was it free?

I own my equipment outright. But you make a good point. The depreciation of equipment tax write off can vary depending on the method used, but on my level it is relatively insignificant. So that number spread across the four snow months we have here is probably around $1000 on the high side.
