Nope, what a living nightmare that must have been. I cannot imagine that, and I hope I never have to imagine it.

No way. We had a 22" blizzard last year that only lasted a day or so. That everyday for a week? No thanks, I'd go crazy.

Oh ya I remember that storm. I lived a loader for alomst 2 weeks. Got to the point we ditched the push boxes and went pure bucket. The snow was not so bad it was the high winds. I had drifts on that thursday that were 7 foot high. crazy

I don't understand how you guys and those lake affect snow areas manage. We had 42" last year that set a record. One storm being 12" + with high winds creating 20 foot drifts in places. That's about our max.

Does the town get shut down for that type of event?

IDK, that amount would make us a ton of money! In our city there's about 250-300 plowing trucks and I think 20 front end loaders tops! I'd be busy for weeks.

The town may shut down but its your job to open it back up....so while everyone else is warm at home you have to get out there and clear all that snow. Do you think someone else is going to do it just because there is "too much"??

Just think, it could very well happen again. Our lake temp. is still around 50 degree's and all it would take is a cool/cold wind blowing across the lake and there you go.
