    First time replacing valve seals.

I order intake and exhaust seals
    2 - new valve covers

borrowing adapter for compressor and valve compression tool.

Any words of advice before I tackle this project?

Smack the top/side of the valve spring with a hammer before you put air in the cylinder or use your valve compressing tool. It will help loosen the retainers so they don't stick when you compress the spring.

    Thanks for the tip.

I replace 1/2 of the seals this past weekend. First one took 30 minutes the rest 5-10 minutes each.

a couple of seals were very brittle and cracked. hopefully this is what was causing the engine to smoke on start up and when sitting idling for a while
