thinking of adding some help to my leafs...i have already upgraded front with a 5 leaf add-a-leaf but pro-plus is heavy and although it doesn't drop truck yet..i want to keep it that way..

anyone have pics of a timbren on a front leaf 99-04 250?..comments?..mounts on top of leaf right?..add-a-leafs won't effect?

i have a 3" block under stock block in rear...so timbrens that push on factory "tabs" on facory block worry me about pushing blocks out the side of u-bolts under heavy loads....seems liek adding weight on that tab increase fail because i have 2 blocks...so i was thinking of bags...because they mount on top of leaf pack and pressure is all down to axle tube solid..

again..comments?...pics?...this all came about now that i am running with 2500lbs. in salt in the bed a lot...no problems...you can't even tell it's there...but i want to keep it easy on the truck...

Ill be heading out in a bit to "get ready" for tonights event. the truck now is unloaded, I can take some pics of the rear end, the timbrens are touching the bar/axle due to the salter, bags, shovels, fluids, kitty litter boxs for salt/walk guys, tow straps. salt that spilled into the bed ( bed liner is usefull now). and other junk in the back, I did get the fronts installed and it does touch the pad when no load, it states that in the instructions, and when I lift the plow the front end barely lowers. there worth every cent IMO. ill have before and after pics with salt and plow up and down. just have to figure out how to get pics to post in here, never did it before.

George, let me know if you want to see my airbag system. its made by airlift and it has the automatic leveling system. that way, it senses if the bed is low so it add air and to high releases air. ive had 5,000#s in the bed (no thats not made up, i can email you pictures) and i was riding ass high in the back. The airbags also give a much more plush ride than a timbren and thats based off the ride characteristics this i see people talk about here about timbrens.

You should never put 2 block on top of each other. When I lifted mine they said not to stack the blocks and so they sold me a bigger on to replace the 2. I have the leveling kit in front with the lift and it has not been effected by the plow weight.

Yeah im working on the same thing. I have the rear kit all hooked up and working but im slowly buying the parts for the entire system.

They make the bags for the front which im looking to get during the summer sometime. The ones for the front im going with the firestone kit. I dont like the way the airlift mounts work for the front. Im going to use manual switches for the front bags so that way I can lower the front when i hookup the plow. my goal is to have it all done before the snow next season but im really itchin to get the air horns setup.

also, i want to add George, that riding around with an empty bed or even close to it with the bags filled up pretty high will make for one painfull ride. its like you welded a bar from the frame to axle eliminating all suspention travel. Thats why I went with the automatic system, that way I have just about the same ride quality no matter how much weight i have in the bed.

    ahh....i see....

i know about stacking blocks...i may change it in summer...i was in a pinch and wasn;t sure how much the front was going to settle after a year of plowing...so i did a 2 over 3...not too bad...i may end up with a solid 4.5" i am not sure...see how front goes...alsio allow for bags...(hehehe)

i am trying to add logevity to my springs before they need repair...so it's not iminent it gets done tommorrow..

Thank you, its not shiny right now due to all the salting, but in the summer, with the chrome package, it does look sweet.

i have a full load of salt in it now, with about 20 bags of product in the rear , im close or just over 5000lbs and its not dipping like it used to. it handles a lot better and most likely will make the tires last longer as well for those small trips from lot to lot with a load of salt.

ill be posting more pics with the full load so show the timbrens at max use.
